Dr. Spencer Tasker
As the son of a pilot and an Air Force brat, by fifth grade Dr. Spencer Tasker had attended 6 different elementary schools - from Colorado to Oklahoma, and even a year in Guam! After graduating from Brigham Young University with a degree in French, Dr. Tasker attended Case School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He was introduced to the "Land of Enchantment" in 2004 during his introductory postgraduate dental program at The University of New Mexico. After completing his pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital back in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Tasker found that he was still thinking about New Mexico and the pull to the area was too strong to resist! He made the move to the area and has been practicing here, mainly in West Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, since 2006.
Dr. Tasker is a Diplomate with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. While practicing in New Mexico over the last 18 years, Dr. Tasker has been an advocate for providing access to care throughout all of New Mexico. He has started several public health initiatives that have provided care in areas of the state including Roswell, Las Cruces, Gallup, Clayton and Raton. Well versed in all aspects of pediatric dentistry, Dr. Tasker is proud to bring to his patients non-invasive preventative techniques as well as laser dentistry, lip and tongue tie releases, and all 4 levels of sedation dentistry. Dr. Tasker is thrilled to be the new owner of ABQ Pediatric Dentistry and looks forward to open conversations on how to best treat your child.
When not at the dental office Dr. Tasker enjoys the outdoors of New Mexico, and is often training for a marathon, hiking in the Sandia’s or enjoying a round of golf. The kid inside of him also enjoys old comic books, anything Star Wars, and reliving the 80’s. He is also a proud supporter of his concert violinist wife, Sarah, and the New Mexico Philharmonic (support your local symphony PLEASE!). Dr. Tasker and Sarah have 3 children - Sydney, Ella, and Owen. Like many of you parents, Dr. Tasker’s second job is a daily chauffeur - ferrying his 3 children to various practices and performances of sports, dance, and music. The tips aren’t great but the conversations last a lifetime!
